Electrical Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Designer (2–5 years of experience) who is on a clear path toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and is interested in developing into a future discipline leader. This role offers hands-on project responsibility, mentorship from senior engineers, and a defined growth path into leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design for commercial and institutional building systems
• Develop power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system designs
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teams
• Support construction administration activities
• Participate in client coordination meetings and technical discussions
• Progress toward managing projects and leading a design team

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of electrical design experience (consulting engineering preferred)
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Demonstrated path toward PE licensure
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of NEC and building electrical systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Desire to grow into a leadership role
