Contract to Hire: 01/05/2026 to 04/04/2026
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 5:30 PM–2:30 AM (or until work is completed)

• Every other weekend required (assigned a consistent weekday off)

Position Overview

The Pharmacy Technician supports long-term care (LTC) pharmacy operations by accurately preparing and completing prescription orders for LTC facilities. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while meeting strict accuracy and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and selecting appropriate medications from inventory

• Label medication packaging, scan items, and assemble prescriptions into designated bins accurately and efficiently

• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate medication supply to meet order demands

• Assist with inventory maintenance, including removing expired or unused medications, marking opened bottles, and keeping inventory organized

• Consistently meet established pharmacy accuracy and productivity benchmarks

• Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow

• Maintain clean and orderly workstations, replenish stock supplies, and properly store medications

• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to prescription medication dispensing

• Perform additional essential duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience

• Active and unrestricted North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment

• Strong multitasking, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills

Dress Code

• Professional casual attire; scrubs permitted
