The Opportunity
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Master Electrician with strong mechanical skills to join our maintenance team. This hybrid role involves approximately 45% electrical work and 55% mechanical maintenance, supporting the shop’s operations through installation, repair, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance of both electrical and mechanical systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical Duties (≈45%): Install, repair, and service electrical systems and components. Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate tools and techniques. Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. Ensure compliance with safety codes and company guidelines. Provide material cost and time estimates. Train and mentor apprentices and junior employees. Maintain accurate documentation and produce drawings. Obtain necessary permits and coordinate inspections. Mechanical Duties (≈55%): Perform routine and emergency mechanical maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems. Fabricate or source mechanical parts as needed. Conduct preventive maintenance and document service schedules. Assist with equipment installations and upgrades. Collaborate with vendors and other technicians to resolve mechanical issues. And other duties as assigned by your manager.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid electrician license or certification. Valid driver’s license. 3–5 years of experience as an electrician and/or maintenance mechanic. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. Strong understanding of safety protocols and building codes. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical strength and stamina to perform hands-on tasks. Patience and leadership skills for training apprentices.
Preferred skill
Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance environments. Familiarity with PLCs, HVAC systems, and mechanical fabrication. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Physical Demands
Employees would be frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to sit, use hands and fingers, and reach with their arms. Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.

Pay Range: $33 to $40 (Dependent on experience)
