• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Eastern Time)

• Weekends/Holidays: As needed per staffing schedule

Job Summary

The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the frontline representative of our diagnostic services organization. The PSR I performs skilled blood collection and specimen processing while providing compassionate patient care and ensuring adherence to safety and confidentiality standards. This role requires professionalism, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting .

Key Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, ensuring proper labeling and handling for laboratory testing.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment according to established procedures and regulatory standards.

• Verify patient information and signatures following venipuncture to confirm labeling accuracy.

• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection duties with precision and confidence.

• Accurately maintain all required records, logs, and documentation .

• Promote a positive image of the company through excellent customer service and professional conduct.

• Demonstrate commitment to quality, confidentiality, and patient satisfaction in all interactions.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.

• Strong computer skills; proficiency in data entry and record management .

• Excellent phlebotomy skills , including pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in CA, NV, and WA).

• Prior experience in a customer service or healthcare setting .

• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and patient safety .

• Effective communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and composure under pressure.

Credentialing & Compliance

• No hospital credentialing required for this site.

• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required .

• Reliable personal transportation required; public transit or rideshare not acceptable.
