Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Reidsville, North Carolina (27320) – North Carolina physical therapy jobs
• Setting: Hospital-based outpatient rehab clinic (PT/OT/ST services)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Duration: 13 weeks (September 9, 2025 – December 9, 2025)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM (8-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200-$2250
• Caseload: Primarily pediatrics (birth to 5 years), with flexibility to support adult ortho/neuro as needed
• Daily Census: Approximately 9 patients per day

Pediatric Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric physical therapy experience (no first-time travelers)
• Previous outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Proficiency working with pediatric patients (birth to 5 years old)
• Active North Carolina PT license (required at submission)
• BLS certification
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Ability to pass compliance requirements and background check
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float to other Cone Health campuses as needed

Pediatric Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, assessments, and treatments for pediatric patients with developmental delays, autism, torticollis, cerebral palsy, genetic abnormalities, and related conditions
• Develop individualized plans of care, set short and long-term therapy goals, and perform patient reassessments
• Utilize AROM, AAROM, PROM, strength testing, sensory response, and pain assessment techniques
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, injury prevention, and recognizing signs of abuse
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab team (PT/OT/ST) and utilize interpretation services as needed
• Flex to adult orthopedic and neurological caseloads during pediatric cancellations
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic medical records
• Participate in orientation and required compliance modules
