Are you a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a passion for restorative care ? Join our dedicated team and play a vital role in helping residents maintain and regain their highest level of function and independence.
Major Responsibilities
- Provide direct restorative care including restorative dining, splints, ADLs, bowel and bladder management, range of motion exercises, ambulation, and transfers.
- Encourage residents to actively participate in their assigned restorative programs using verbal cueing, one-on-one interactions, and safety precautions.
- Maintain accurate documentation on each resident participating in the Restorative Program and notify management of any changes.
- Assist residents in achieving greater independence by promoting mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
- Follow restorative nursing principles and best practices to ensure high-quality care.
- Provide innovative, responsible healthcare by implementing new ideas and strategies to improve resident outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certified and registered in the state of practice.
- Must maintain a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education to retain certification.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience preferred in a setting serving a similar resident population.
- Knowledge and skills in basic Restorative Nursing principles and practices preferred.
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and dedicated to enhancing resident well-being.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to residents' changing needs.
