The Loving Company is seeking a seasoned Irrigation Foreman to spearhead our Charlotte landscaping operations. Reporting to the Lawn Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end installation, calibration, inspection, and seasonal upkeep of surface and subsurface irrigation networks. You’ll leverage your hands-on expertise and innovative water-management strategies to mentor your team, optimize system performance, and advance our sustainability goals.

What Success Looks Like

• Lead your crew to install and configure pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, pumps, and moisture sensors on time and within budget
• Calibrate timers and zoning to achieve uniform coverage, minimize waste, and support our sustainability initiatives
• Implement and document routine tasks: charging, draining, filter cleaning, winterization to reduce downtime and emergency calls
• Quickly identify and resolve leaks, electrical faults, pressure issues, and broken components in both new and existing systems
• Track parts usage, place orders proactively, and coordinate with leadership to maintain optimal stock levels and service readiness
• Enforce DOT/MVR compliance, maintain clean work sites and vehicles, and model best practices for your team
• Use fleet management software and mobile apps to log service calls, work orders, and system performance metrics accurately
• Provide clear technical updates and recommendations to clients, field crews, and office staffdelivering exceptional customer service every step of the way
• Conduct regular site audits, compile compliance documentation, and generate performance reports to ensure all installations and services meet industry regulations and internal quality benchmarks

What Sets You Apart

• At least three (3) years installing and servicing irrigation systems plus 2 years supervising or mentoring field crews
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass DOT physical exam and MVR check
• Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic meters, and control system software; adept at troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
• Familiar with zoning principles, moisture sensors, and sustainable irrigation design to drive conservation
• Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for teams and clients
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Ready to support seasonal peaks, weekend and emergency service calls, and evolving project demands
• Landscape irrigation certification (e.g., CLIA Certified Technician) preferred but not required
• Flexible schedule to support seasonal demands and occasional weekend or emergency service calls
