About the role:
You will be a Infrastructure MFT Engineer on the Level 2 team within the Infrastructure Services Engineering organization, including Scheduling and Transmissions. As part of this team, you will troubleshoot product issues, automate builds and migrations, provide support for issues outside of the norm with transmissions, and provide the care and feeding of all of our products. This position is involved in all facets of supporting the Managed File Transfer gateway (Secure Transport). They are responsible for ensuring that files from and for external parties (such as clients, vendors and third parties) are successfully received and transferred from and to our internal applications and teams.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
- Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
- Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
- Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
- Ensures system improvements are successfully implemented.
- Support multiple MFT environments of medium to high complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility.
- Apply problem solving skills to analyze process problems as raised by the internal support team, determining whether potential process fixes are necessary.
- Designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining High Availability / Disaster Recovery solutions for all supported Applications.
- Performing capacity planning of multiple application environments, and provide recommendations to management to sustain organic business growth.
- Creating and maintaining custom scripts, tools, and reports that assist in the maintenance of the above tasks.
- Ability to Learn and adapt multiple application and database technologies to support the needs of the businesses using those technologies for their file transfer solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with MOVEit Application Support “Resolving Application issues within MOVEit as well as upgrades and migrations
- Troubleshooting skills with all Managed File Transfer applications, networks, packets, certificates, LDAP, Active Directory, PGP, GPG, VPN, SFTP, FTPS, and other protocols
- 4+ years of experience with SQL, Java and programming tools (Shell, Windows, .NET, and Database)
- Knowledge of Server Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration, and Storage Administration
- Understanding and experience with the use of Certificates, CA, and Certificate tools that manage certificates.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Possess the Following:
- Java programming expertise used for creating custom TM plugins and other tools for Secure Transport.
- Advanced SQL knowledge used for research, reporting, and monitoring of backend MS SQL databases
- Solid understanding of networking concepts such as firewalls, NAT, Load Balancing, protocols, and routing.
- Knowledge and experience with workflow methodologies.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Systems
