Senior Acquisition Logistics Manager
Job Description & Functional Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support of all Life Cycle Logistics support elements. Provides technical and management discipline associated with the design, development, test, production, fielding, sustainment and improvement/modification of cost effective systems that achieve the user’s readiness and sustainability requirements.
- Provides acquisition and operational advice and guidance to Journeyman and Junior logisticians.
- Plans, schedules, coordinate and estimates major complex tasks. Directs activities of all acquisition and operational logistics support/maintenance engineering disciplines.
- Performs expert support for maintenance planning, technical data, manpower/personnel, computer resources support, supply support, facilities, support equipment, training and support, and packaging, handling, storage and transportation.
Position Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience performing acquisition and/or operational logistics support/maintenance engineering, and Program Management.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management, or a relevant discipline such as Business Management, Management Science, Program Management, Purchasing Management, Procurement/Acquisitions, Contracts Management, or Supply Chain and Logistics Management. (**Six years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, and an Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.**)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance and clearing necessary background checks/assessments as required to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the Secret level. Current Secret Security Clearance is desired.
