Description UNC Health Specialty Care at Chatham Park in Pittsboro, NC is hiring a Neurologist (MD/DO)! UNC Health Specialty Care at Chatham Park will provide expert care and consultation for both adults and children. It is a community-based specialty practice that provides comprehensive care. Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and Cardiology are also part of the practice. Services : ?General neurology ?Consultations and physical exams ?Infusion and physical exams ?Infusion (IV) therapy ?Skin, muscle, and nerve samples (biopsies) ?Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections (migraine treatment) ?Clot-buster mediation for stroke ?Lumbar punctures ?Electroencephalography ?Electromyography Conditions : Stroke and Cerebrovascular (brain/blood vessel) diseases Movement disorders and Parkinson?s disease Neurodegenerative disorders and dementia Nerve pain that causes pain, numbness, and weakness (neuropathy) Headaches Seizures Epilepsy Sleep disorders Multiple sclerosis Stroke care Memory and cognitive disorders Practice Hours : Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Job Qualifications : ? Graduation from accredited school of medicine (MD/DO) ? BE/BC Neurology ? NC State License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred ? FCVS profile preferred for those without NC license but not required ? REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Neurology.
