CPI Security is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to join our executive leadership team and lead the company through its next phase of strategic growth. The CRO will drive revenue acceleration, customer acquisition, and market expansion across our residential, builder, and commercial channels. This role requires a forward-thinking executive who can develop and implement integrated growth strategies, including sales optimization, channel development, new market entry, and M&A execution. The CRO will oversee high-performing sales and business development teams while building scalable processes, partnerships, and programs to support rapid growth and long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and implementation of company-wide growth strategies aligned with CPI's vision and revenue goals.
- Identify and prioritize expansion opportunities across core verticals (residential, builder, commercial) and new regional markets.
- Partner with the Executive team on long-range strategic planning, business modeling, and capital allocation to fuel sustainable growth.
- Develop strategic M&A roadmap; lead due diligence, negotiations, and integration efforts for acquisitions that complement CPI's core business.
Sales Leadership & Performance
- Oversee the company's direct and indirect sales functions to ensure consistent, profitable growth.
- Own revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and sales operations.
- Design and execute sales strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and upsell across all business segments.
- Define and oversee performance-based incentive programs to align sales goals with company objectives.
Data, Insights & Innovation
- Leverage data and market intelligence to guide strategic decisions and uncover new areas of opportunity.
- Analyze customer trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to stay ahead of industry shifts.
- Implement scalable systems, metrics, and best practices that support high-growth execution.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build and develop high-performing, cross-functional growth and business development teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Serve as a key member of the executive team and trusted advisor to the CEO.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of executive-level experience in sales, business development, or growth leadership, preferably in the security, smart home, or technology services industry.
- Demonstrated success in scaling revenue across multiple business lines (residential, builder, commercial).
- Direct experience with mergers and acquisitions, including sourcing, evaluating, and integrating acquired companies.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, sales strategy, customer acquisition, and go-to-market frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead large teams, develop talent, and inspire high performance.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
