Job Description

As a Security Officer - Parking Lot Patrol in Winston Salem, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and provide clear communication and customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate campus resources and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and interior areas, assist with visitor management as required by site procedures, and report suspicious activity per established protocols.
• Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
