Financial Analyst

What does a successful financial analyst do at Fiserv?

As a financial analyst, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive financial and business support tailored to the sales support team. This dynamic role encompasses the execution of detailed financial analyses, including but not limited to budgets, forecasts, operating results, business cases, and various key business metrics. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in sales audits, ensuring the validation of commissions through internal collaboration with the sales team. Your analytical prowess and financial expertise will be instrumental in driving informed decision-making and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

What you will do:

• Plan, develop, prepare, and maintain business unit expense budgets and forecasts, as well as produce the monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting that compares actual results, budgets, and forecasts.

• Develop in-depth analysis and modeling of business results, key business initiatives, and strategic plans.

• Keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills, which allow for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting,

• Report and analyze the utilization of development resources.

• Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non-finance managers.

• Strong hands-on approach to learn business and current planning and forecasting models and modify models appropriately.

• Utilize systems and data to perform complex analyses to resolve difficult business and customer issues.

• Solid understanding of GAAP principles when recognizing or accruing revenue expenses.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience Combination of educational background, related work experience, and/or military experience.

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in corporate finance.

What would be great to have:

• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Access SAP, BPC, and Business Explorer.

• Knowledge of finance and accounting theories, principles, and practices.

• Able to interpret financial statements.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
