We are currently seeking a dedicated part-time Mohs surgery medical assistant to join our team in Wilmington, NC. As a part-time Mohs surgery medical assistant, you will play a crucial role in preparing patients for surgery and assisting our skilled surgeons during procedures. Your ability to deliver compassionate care and effective communication will greatly enhance the patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for Mohs surgeries by collecting medical histories and taking vital signs.
- Assist the surgeon in the operating room by ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are ready and sterile.
- Provide post-operative care and instructions to patients, ensuring they understand aftercare procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment, following strict safety protocols.
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing patient records and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients about the Mohs surgical process and address any concerns they may have.
