Position Overview:
Join a dynamic and high-volume healthcare environment as a Dual Modality CT/Radiologic Technician at Atrium Health Waxhaw. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities, supporting patient care in both emergency and outpatient settings. Candidates will work in a state-of-the-art facility with a focus on patient-centered care, collaborating closely with nursing and support staff to deliver excellent service.

• Stroke Center

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT and general radiology equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures
• Accurately capture images that meet quality and safety standards
• Evaluate images for technical quality and communicate findings as necessary
• Support patients across a variety of diagnoses in ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and patient privacy regulations
• Maintain clean and organized work environment

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Required Certifications & Licenses:
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
  • ARRT (R)(CT) certification in good standing
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
  • Photo ID (required during compliance process)
• Licensure: NC State Licensure is not required for this role
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent radiology or CT experience
• Will accept first-time travelers

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Completion of accredited radiologic technology program
• Prior experience working in a high-volume hospital setting
• Familiarity with Siemens and GE imaging equipment
• Ability to adapt across different modalities and support team needs

Skills & Support:

• Strong technical skills across CT and general radiography
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
• Support from nursing and transport teams for patient care assistance
• Support within the department based on workflow

Technology & Equipment:

• Siemens and GE imaging systems
• Epic EMR system

Orientation & Training:

• Completion of online new employee orientation (NEO) courses
• Department-specific orientation lasting 3-5 days, depending on modality

Scheduling & Work Environment:

• Weekend rotations and call responsibilities will vary by position and will be discussed during the interview
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• Shift times vary with modality; details listed on the e-form request
• Schedule cycle: Every 4 weeks
