Accounting Specialist - Real Estate Development - Base Salary to 80k/year - Davidson, NC

• Our client, a small, well-established (30+ years in business) and still rapidly growing real estate development company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the finance team based in the Charlotte/Davidson, NC area (Monday - Friday, 40hrs/week, 8am-5pm) for a hybrid role (mostly remote with in-office visits in Davidson, NC a few times per month).
  
• The ideal candidate for the Accounting Specialist role will be extremely detail-oriented and organized, a self-starter with excellent computer & data skills (very tech savvy to learn new systems quickly) & follow-through. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable Admin Management, Expensify Management, Administrative Support, Audit & Regulatory Compliance Responsibilities, and 1099 Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update Expensify system and manage the main accounting inbox
  
• Monthly expense reimbursements, pull credit card transaction data, pay office rent, reconcile bank statements, organize Accounts Payable invoices, track property tax
  
• Manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable functions in Gravity software (vendor records)
  
• Help transition from paper checks to ACH
  
• File tax returns (sales, property)
  
• Help with WIP expense documentation
  
• Scan, convert, and organize all incoming loan statements and bank statements
  
• Ad Hoc support as needed

Qualifications:

• Accounting/ Business degree a plus
  
• 3+ years of Office Management/ Bookkeeping / Accounting Clerk experience
  
• Very fast learner for new systems, extremely tech-savvy with some experience in Expensify (or other expense reporting software), Microsoft SharePoint, and basic accounting platforms (Gravity or similar is a plus! )
  
• Detail-oriented and highly organized; proactive, resourceful
  
• Strong communication & follow through – coordinating with internal team
  
• Experience in some type of multi-entity accounting preferable; property management, real estate development, or private equity back-office operations is a plus!

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k - 80k/year range, dependent on experience
