Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Salem, NC. The position drives enterprise data architecture governance and standards while designing reusable cloud‑native patterns and ensuring secure, compliant metadata and lineage integration.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:

• Define and enforce enterprise standards for data models, metadata, lineage, and data quality across Purview, Ataccama, Fabric, and AWS Glue.

• Build and maintain unified reference architectures, including domain data flow maps, canonical patterns, and cross‑domain interaction designs.

• Develop reusable architectural patterns for AWS, Azure Fabric, and event‑driven, API‑driven, batch, and ML/AI‑ready data ecosystems.

• Establish integration patterns that embed security, observability, monitoring, and operational resiliency across metadata and catalog platforms.

• Lead architecture reviews with domain teams to ensure alignment to target‑state architecture and identify modernization opportunities.

• Provide templates and governance for data contracts, schema evolution, and data‑sharing interfaces to promote consistency across domains.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–12 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data governance.

• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, EMR, IAM), Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real‑Time Analytics), and Purview/Ataccama.

• Proven experience designing event‑driven and API‑first architectures, along with deep knowledge of metadata standards, lineage frameworks, and data quality methodologies.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $75.00 per hour
