A Day in the Life

Morning starts on the production floor: you walk the lines, review overnight logs, and prioritize maintenance tasks to keep throughput on target. A machine flags a fault—within minutes you’re inside the HMI, tracing ladder logic and diagnosing a PLC I/O issue. You isolate the problem, make the appropriate program adjustment within established standards, and bring the cell back online.

Before lunch, you perform preventive maintenance on critical assets: inspect electrical panels, tighten terminations, verify sensor alignment, and document findings so future work is seamless. In the afternoon, you partner with production and engineering to fine‑tune pneumatic and hydraulic functions, reducing cycle time and preventing repeat failures. You finish the day by updating the PM schedule, closing out work orders, and proposing a small controls optimization to support our continuous improvement goals.

What You’ll Tackle

• Keep diverse industrial automation equipment reliable, safe, and efficient.
• Diagnose and repair PLC systems, electrical and mechanical components, and automated machinery.
• Create, execute, and refine preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime and boost performance.
• Work hands‑on with hydraulics and pneumatics; make targeted PLC adjustments to optimize operations.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to meet daily goals and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring (Required)

• Expertise in PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial automation equipment.
• Proven track record creating and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

Good to Have (Preferred)

• Background in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLC programming and making system adjustments.
• Comfort collaborating across functions and departments.
