Commercial Roofing Estimator
Job Description
Job Description
Are you a precision-oriented professional who finds satisfaction in the details? Do you prefer a stable, quiet environment where your technical expertise is valued over office politics or high-stakes risk-taking?
We are looking for a Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team in the Triad. This is a role for a methodical thinker who excels when given the boundaries of established policies and the time to ensure every calculation is 100% accurate.
The Environment We Offer
We understand that high-quality estimating requires focus. We provide a workspace that respects your need for a steady, predictable workflow.
- Structure & Safety: We operate with clear regulations and established procedures, providing you with the "rules of the road" so you can work with certainty.
- Trust-Based Autonomy: While we provide initial direction to get you up to speed, we believe in backing off once you’ve mastered the role. We won't micromanage you; we value the latitude you need to express your technical knowledge.
- Focus on the Tangible: You’ll spend your time dealing with objects, blueprints, and data—not navigating complex social dynamics or high-pressure negotiations.
- Private Recognition: We believe in honoring a job well done through private, individualized feedback rather than public fanfare.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- A Quest for Accuracy: You are someone who checks their work twice because "close enough" isn't in your vocabulary. You strive for a consistently reliable level of follow-through.
- A Methodical Pace: You are most effective when allowed to focus on one task at a time, seeing a project through from start to finish without constant interruptions or shifting priorities.
- Technical Skepticism: You don’t take information at face value. You look for proof and rely on logic and tangible evidence to reach your conclusions.
- Diplomatic Communication: You are a quiet, reserved, and direct speaker. You prefer to avoid confrontation, choosing patience and caution when dealing with both tasks and people.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive, accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects using established company guidelines.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and data to ensure all technical requirements are met.
- Maintain a steady, methodical workflow to meet deadlines without sacrificing precision.
- Apply imaginative thought and ingenuity to solve technical problems, utilizing your experience to improve traditional processes.
- Operate within the safety of company policy, seeking guidance on high-risk decisions while maintaining independence on standard projects.
Requirements
What we look for in new team members-
- Minimum 3 Years Commercial roofing experience
- Strong work ethic
- Valid Driver’s License
- Legally able to work in the United States
- The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Qualifications
- Background in commercial roofing, construction, or a related technical field where accuracy is paramount.
- A preference for stable, repetitive work with enough variety to keep your mind engaged.
- Ability to work independently once familiarity with the company’s standards is established.
- A logic-driven approach to problem-solving.
Benefits & Compensation
A qualified candidate will be offered competitive salary along with the benefits listed below-
- Health Insurance
- Free telemedicine for you and your entire family through Teladoc
- Generous PTO plan
- 9 paid holidays
- 401k with generous company match
- Optional voluntary insurances (dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability, term life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity).
