Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (K9-B Observation Unit) – Telemetry monitoring
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Details: 20 beds, telemetry monitoring, Baxter pumps, Cerner/Power Chart EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770 - $1820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a cardiac stepdown or telemetry nursing unit
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Telemetry certification required
• Med-Surg certification preferred
• Strong clinical skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry readings for cardiac patients
• Perform IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, and other clinical procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Float to other medical-surgical (med-surg) units as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner/Power Chart EMR
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (navy or white scrubs)
