Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Operator in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and suspicious activity, document observations, and provide professional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to branch personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document actions taken per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the financial services location, including lobbies, ATM areas, offices, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry points, and/or coordinating with site contacts regarding visitor management procedures.
• Complete required reports such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate notable observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have supervisory experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
