Cash Application Associate (On-site)

About the Position:

Our Cash Application Associate contributes to the overall success of the company by efficiently processing incoming cash in various forms (check, ACH, wire, credit card) utilizing strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high volume, fast paced environment. Work collaboratively with Collections, Key Accounts and Customer Service to resolve any issues and discrepancies.

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am - 5pm

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Accurately apply all payments, including lockbox, wires, ACH, credit card, recoveries, refunds and returns. Identify discrepancies/residual cash/short pays and advise AR for issue resolution.
• Professional engagement with internal customers to service accounts.
• Achieve period/year end closing goals.
• Process credit card refund requests.
• Continuously strive to improve by effectively evaluating opportunities for process re-engineering.

Position Requirements Include:

• Associates degree desired; high school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
• A minimum of two years' experience in account analysis, credit card processing and reconciliation is preferred.
• Possess a high level of account analysis aptitude with ability to reconcile cash daily to sub-ledger.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to effectively multi-task and ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Must work well independently and as an integral part of a team.
