Locum Tenens: Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Physician (Near Bat Cave, NC) Are you a dedicated and experienced Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Bat Cave, NC? We're searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital care to newborns in our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on a call-only basis (ASAP - Ongoing). This locum tenens position offers a flexible work schedule with predictable call hours, allowing you to manage your workload effectively while contributing to exceptional care for our most vulnerable patients. You'll perform admissions, participate in bedside rounds, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes. Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and are happy to assist with facilitating temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe varies). Advanced Technology & Resources: Utilize the user-friendly McKesson Paragon electronic medical record (EMR) system to enhance efficiency in documentation and communication. Qualifications: Board-eligible or board-certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required. Fellowship training is preferred. Active medical license in North Carolina (NC) only is mandatory. Current certification in BLS is essential. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Level II or higher NICU setting is preferred. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, critical care environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients' families, nurses, and the healthcare team.
