First Baptist Church of Boiling Spring Lakes is prayerfully seeking a part-time Associate & Youth Pastor to join our ministry team.

Our community is nestled just minutes from Oak Island, Historic Downtown Southport, and Fort Caswell. Boiling Spring Lakes offers a golf course, tranquil lakes for fishing and kayaking, and a peaceful, family-friendly environment that makes it a great place to raise children and serve in ministry.

🧭 Position Overview This position is designed for a dynamic, spiritually mature leader who will: Provide leadership to our Rip-Tide Youth Ministry (Grades 6–12) Help strengthen church-wide guest follow-up and connection ministries Preach occasionally on Sunday mornings Partner with the Pastor and staff in the overall care and mission of our church family

✨ Primary Responsibilities Youth Ministry Cast vision and coordinate weekly youth gatherings Partner with our Youth Ministry Council for events and discipleship Lead youth to participate in broader church life and worship Organize and lead an annual summer camp trip (Caswell preferred) Conduct regular check-ins with youth families Ensure proper volunteer screening and training Church Engagement & Guest Follow-Up Oversee guest tracking and connection processes Equip and lead our Greeter Ministry for a warm Sunday experience Work alongside the Pastor to integrate newcomers into the life of the church Preaching & Pastoral Support Preach as needed in Sunday worship Participate in staff meetings and church events Assist with additional ministry opportunities

📚 Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in ministry/theology or equivalent experience (Seminary a plus) A growing relationship with Jesus and a clear calling to ministry Minimum of 2 years’ youth ministry leadership preferred Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to lead volunteers and work in a team setting Must not have a family member in a direct supervisory role within the church
