- Provide leadership and direction in the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring all aspects are managed effectively.
- Conduct detailed construction cost estimates and analyses, including conceptual and detailed quantity take-offs.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists during the design development stage.
- Lead the development of the project schedule and identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Manage the tender process, including the selection of contractors and the negotiation of contracts.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop the project budget and ensure cost control measures are in place.
- Participate in client presentations and meetings, providing expert advice and guidance on preconstruction matters.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the construction industry, including innovations in construction methods, materials, and technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on preconstruction planning and estimating .
- Proven experience working for a General Contractor on commercial, life sciences, and healthcare construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in construction software and technology, including estimating and scheduling software.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
