DayâtoâDay Duties
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on pool pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems quickly to minimize downtime.
- Lead major equipment installations, upgrades, and system retrofits.
- Maintain precise service logs, work orders, and inventory records in the companyâs maintenance software.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, local building codes, and industry best practices.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, reinforcing proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with operations and customerâservice teams to schedule visits and provide status updates.
- Participate in an onâcall rotation for afterâhours emergency support.
MustâHave Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational certification in mechanical/electrical maintenance preferred).
- 5â8 years of handsâon maintenance experience in pool, spa, or related recreationalâfacility environments.
- Valid driverâs license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and the ability to read technical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of pool filtration, pump, heater, and automation systems.
- Excellent problemâsolving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication coupled with a customerâfocused attitude.
NiceâtoâHave Experience
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring junior maintenance staff.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and local building codes.
- Experience using preventiveâmaintenance scheduling software.
- Certifications in refrigeration, HVAC, or related trades.
