Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina travel healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays required
• Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Scrub Color: Solid Black or Black and White
• Charting System: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,770

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience in hospital or ICU settings
• Active North Carolina or compact Respiratory Therapist license
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Proven ability to care for both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to float to different hospital units as needed
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year
• Maximum of 4 days of requested time off (RTO); only 1 holiday approved
• Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Successful completion of advanced EKG exam required

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care in hospital and ICU settings for adult and pediatric patients
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Document all care using Epic electronic health record system
• Float to various hospital units to support staffing needs
• Complete hospital orientation and required modules prior to start
• Follow hospital policies, including attendance and makeup shift requirements
