Chevrolet (General Motors) Certified Technician (car & light truck)
Job Description
Job Description
Attention Chevrolet (General Motors) trained and experienced Technicians
Are you frustrated with the pay plan your current employer is offering?
Do you have paychecks that fluctuate hundreds of dollars?
Do you worry more about Flagged hours than you do about the vehicle you are attempting to repair?
Are weekends off important to you?
Would you like to work 4 days per week in order to have time off to do the things in life that you desire?
You have found the right “help wanted ad”.
In fact, we are not wanting help, we are looking for career minded- team oriented technicians to join our team.
You can stop reading if you:
Do not work well with others.
Are lazy.
Are unwilling to continue your education.
Rather follow social media than perform the jobs that are assigned to you
Are not interested in customer satisfaction
Are a “Premadonna Technician”
Feel complaining to coworkers is a way to improve anything
Worry about what everyone else is doing while not focusing on what you are doing
Frequently stop working 30 minutes ahead of the end of your shift
Rush to work hoping that you can clock in without recording you were late
Arrive at work with breakfast in hand willing to take the first job about 30 minutes after you arrive.
Refuse to work on jobs that are within your skill set.
We have employed technicians with these traits and it’s not what we are looking for.
However, if your desire it to work for an organization that has your best interest at heart, offers a non-standard compensation package along with short work weeks that do not contain Saturdays or Sundays and you are willing to:
Stay productive from the start of your day until your shift ends
Help others as time allows
Stay focused on completing timely - fixed right the first time repairs.
Accept jobs of all sorts within your skill set as they are assigned to you
Continue training throughout your career.
Keep the best interest of our customers in mind
Understand that your “best interest” is “everyone’s best interest” and visa versa.
Then you have found the right opportunity.
Minimum requirements to be considered are:
At least two years of continuous experience at a General Motors dealership
GM Center of Learning training in the area that you are applying for.
A proven track record of your capabilities (references, current pay stubs, etc.)
