Job Title: Test Engineering Technician Location: Greensboro, NC Zip Code: 27409 Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: Up to $25/hr DoE Keywords: #PaintJobs #NCJobs Schedule: 9/80 : 6:30am-4pm with every other Friday off. 6:30am-3pm on the Friday that we work. Under general supervision, the Test Lab Engineering Technician performs a variety of technical duties requiring precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities include setting up and conducting tests on aircraft seating, monuments, and components; operating and maintaining test equipment and tools; assembling test articles; and collecting test data. Essential Job Duties:

• Perform the build-up of test articles and set ups in conformity with test plan requirements for all required dynamic, static, reliability and flammability testing.
• Assemble test articles and setups according to test plan requirements for dynamic, static, reliability, and flammability testing.
• Assist in the design and fabrication of test fixtures; may also fabricate parts for test assemblies.
• Support test execution, data acquisition, and analysis; generate reports based on results.
• Maintain and repair test-related equipment to ensure reliability.
• Monitor and contribute to performance metrics (e.g., KPIs), fostering a results-driven work environment.
• Minimize downtime and overtime while taking ownership of work responsibilities.
• Follow lab policies, procedures, and safety standards to optimize performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all test equipment.
• Comply with all applicable regulations and internal quality standards, including FAA and AirBus requirements.

Job Qualifications: Minimum:

• High school diploma
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical data.
• Strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Preferred:

• Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent level of experience.
• Familiarity with a diverse range of materials (i.e. aluminum alloys, stainless steel alloys, engineering polymers, composites, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience working with mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Experience working within a commercial aircraft seating environment.

Ideal Candidate Must Haves:

• May be required to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Mechanically Inclined
• Self-starter
• Subject to continual loud noises.
• Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time; climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
• Basic computer knowledge & familiarity
• Comprehension skills would be beneficial as well.
