Key Job Details – MRI Tech Travel Assignment

• Job Title: Locum Tenens MRI Technologist
• Location: Wilmington, NC hospital (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel/Locum Tenens
• Duration: 13 weeks (September 3, 2025 – December 3, 2025)
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts/week (Monday–Friday, 06:30 – 15:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130–$2180
• Call/Weekend/Float Requirement: None
• Orientation: 8:00am – 4:30pm during first week
• Scrubs: Royal blue

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Tech experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Previous travel healthcare experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active ARRT (R) certification (MRI Technologist certification)
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• North Carolina or Compact state license required at start (pending OK for submission)
• Experience with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations (preferred: neonates, infants, pediatrics)
• Proficiency in abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, CINE
• Preferred: chest imaging, image post-processing skills
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI equipment
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

MRI Tech Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans for diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
• Document and communicate using Epic charting system
• Demonstrate advanced MRI techniques: gradient echo imaging, spin echo images, multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), maximum intensity projection (MIP), and more
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care
• Complete hospital orientation and required modules prior to assignment start
• Be prepared to join the Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
