• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Unit: 2 South Medical/Telemetry
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Shift: Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 call-offs per 13-week assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic electronic charting preferred
• Previous charge nurse, community hospital, or LTAC experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Return staff policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
• System contract limit: 2 contracts (can only extend once, then must be gone for 6 months to return)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response situations
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage central/PICC lines, chest tubes, and surgical drains
• Perform wound care, phlebotomy, and IV starts
• Care for patients with ESRD, CVA, sepsis, respiratory and cardiac conditions, and post-surgical needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float between similar units as needed to support hospital operations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic
