Customer Service Representative

Huntersville, NC

Full Time / Hourly

About the Role:

The Customer Service Representative provides comprehensive customer service, administrative, clerical, basic accounting, and basic human resources support to the Management Team and other staff members. This position provides excellent customer service to all customers and vendors, assists with purchasing and receiving, general accounting functions, supports recruitment and onboarding processes, and helps maintain employee records and compliance documentation.

Essential Functions

Customer Service:

• Perform front office customer service to support customer sales, service, and deliveries, particularly during the busy season.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, take messages, and ensure timely distribution.
• Support internal and external communications, ensuring messages, emails, and faxes reach intended recipients promptly.

Accounting Support:

• Provide administrative and financial billing support; maintain purchasing controls.
• Code purchase orders and assist with financial accounting processes.

Human Resources Support:

• Assist with job postings, application screening, and scheduling interviews.
• Serve as a point of contact for basic employee inquiries regarding policies and benefits.
• Assist General Manager and Facility Manager with safety programs and training
• Perform other administrative and HR duties as assigned to ensure efficient operations and employee communication.

Competencies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Flexible, dependable, and a strong team player.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Knowledge of office management systems, basic HR principles, and accounting procedures.

Work Environment

• This position operates in an office located in Huntersville, NC.

Physical Demands

• Primarily a sedentary role involving sitting, typing, and viewing a computer.
• Occasionally requires bending, lifting, and carrying office supplies or packages.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
