Account Manager - Commercial Transportation
- Act as peer-mentor; encourage accountability; lead by example and develop cohesion among the team; effectively motivate and keep the team focused on territory and business objectives.
- Lead territory in developing and executing a comprehensive plan consistent with business objectives and ensure that people have the authority, understanding, and resources to execute the plan.
- Gain an understanding of customer base requirements and appropriately apply value add offerings to meet regional goals while keeping Axalta's best interests in mind.
- Pioneer new, innovative opportunities and takes on challenges that will contribute the territory's success.
- Maintain a balance of building strong, collaborative relationships with the sales team and customers while keeping Axalta's interests and goals as a top priority.
- Understand current and future business environment and industry trends in order to prioritize, target, and effectively retain current customers and sell to new customers.
- Understand and accurately communicate the key attributes and advantages of our product, color, and services offer through designed proposals.
- Continually promote adherence to Axalta core values and commitment to change.
- High School diploma required with Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of automotive coatings sales experience preferred.
- Demonstrate effective written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate strong sales and negotiation skills with key contact partners to effectively present business proposals in a multi-level sales environment.
- Competent computer skills; proficient with SharePoint, Cognos, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
- Embrace change in all business aspects including emerging industry trends, new technology, and innovative ideas to improve territory results.
- Focus on customer needs, respond quickly to resolve problems, and consider how actions will affect current customers and new business gains.
- Sound working knowledge of Commercial Vehicle business fundamentals. Effectively discuss and evaluate sales process, front office administration, marketing, and production processes and operations with all levels of customers.
- Possess self-discipline/self-management and maintain effective performance in unstructured and autonomous conditions.
- Wear proper PPE as required.
