Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a critical access hospital in Bryson City, NC, requiring 2+ years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• 17-bed Medical Surgical unit within a 48-bed critical access hospital
• Provides inpatient, observation, and swing bed services; no surgeries performed on-site
• Patient population is adults 18+, with the majority being 65+
• Maximum patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends; weekend shifts can be accommodated for travelers who need them
• No on-call requirements
• Float potential between this facility and a sister hospital for Med/Surg or equivalent nursing experience
• Uses Paragon EHR
• Strong interdisciplinary team including PT/OT/Speech, RT, and 24-hour provider coverage, with 24-hour CT, X-Ray, and lab support
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• PICC/CVC management experience required
• Wound care experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
