Northline Roofing is a fast‑growing residential roofing company built on Just Good Ole‑Fashioned Service, modern systems, and disciplined execution. We are transitioning from a founder‑led operation into a process‑driven, financially disciplined company designed to scale.
We are hiring a General Manager to own execution, build repeatable systems, and protect profitability as the business grows.
This role is for someone who loves building process, understands the numbers, and holds the line on standards.
The Role
The General Manager is responsible for turning chaos into clarity.
You will design, implement, and enforce processes that ensure the business runs predictably and profitably. You will own financial performance alongside day‑to‑day operations and act as the accountability leader across departments.
You will directly manage the Sales Manager, Operations Manager, and Production Manager, ensuring alignment across the entire organization.
Core Responsibilities
Process Creation & Systems
- Build, document, and enforce SOPs across sales, production, and office operations
- Create repeatable workflows that reduce mistakes, rework, and variability
- Implement checklists, approvals, and controls to protect margins
- Continuously refine systems as the business scales
Financial Ownership
- Own job‑level profitability, margins, and cost controls
- Review estimates, change orders, and material orders for accuracy
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly performance reviews
- Understand cash flow, deposits, payables, and financial timing
- Identify margin leaks and correct them immediately
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations through department managers
- Align sales commitments with production capacity
- Ensure clean handoffs between sales, operations, and production
- Step in when systems break—and rebuild them stronger
People & Accountability
- Lead and develop the Sales, Operations, and Production Managers
- Hold leaders accountable to process, performance, and results
- Coach managers to think in systems, not just tasks
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management
Customer Experience & Risk Management
- Ensure customer communication follows defined process and standards
- Handle escalations with a solutions‑first mindset
- Protect the company legally and financially through documentation and controls
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in operations, process creation, and financial management
- Experience building systems in construction, roofing, or service businesses
- Comfortable owning a P&L or job‑level financials
- Detail‑oriented but able to think at a high level
- Confident enforcing standards—even when it’s uncomfortable
- Calm, disciplined, and decisive
This Role Is NOT For Someone Who:
- Wings operations instead of building structure
- Avoids financial responsibility
- Struggles with organization or follow‑through
- Needs constant direction from ownership
