Our Asheville dental practice seeks an energetic, people-oriented individual to effectively manage patient treatment plan presentations and scheduling. We are a high-tech paperless office, and applicants must be digitally savvy. This is a full-time position. Our ideal candidate will be polite under pressure, have a warm and welcoming personality, possess extraordinary phone etiquette, foster an attitude of service to our patients, and be an eager and productive member of our dental care team.

- Job scope : Obtain and understand dental benefits and eligibility, present recommended treatment plans to patients, schedule appointments, coordinate with specialists’ offices, take payments, construct payment plans, create and maintain follow-up lists of patients to contact, and coordinate with our clinical staff. Must also review the day’s schedule in advance, greeting patients as they arrive and curating patient paperwork.

- Skills and knowledge requirements : this position requires strong foundational knowledge of dentistry, communication skills, organizational and critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail, an ability to multi-task, computer savviness, and a proven capacity for basic mathematical problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of dental practice management software is required. Superior phone and face-to-face communication skills are vital, as are excellent written communication skills.

- Education requirements : bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred; associates or high school degree will be considered in conjunction with 3 - 5 years of work experience in a dental practice setting

- Relevant experience: 3-5 years of experience in a dental practice setting is mandatory without a bachelor’s degree. A customer service and/or public relations background, or education, inside the healthcare field may be considered.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour and a possible benefit package and/or commission is negotiable. Relocation allowance, if applicable, will be considered for the right candidate.
