Job DescriptionBrightspeed has an exciting opportunity for Project Manager, Engineering and Construction to join our growing team. As an Project Manager, Engineering and Construction, you will report into our Engineering and Construction Organization and be responsible for assisting with various project management aspects associated with our fiber deployment, including project scheduling, all aspects of infrastructure services provider and vendor coordination, engineering and construction guidelines and training, project issue management and resolution, vendor management and performance. The position will be part of the Engineering and Construction team that will collaboratively manage the Brightspeed fiber build and facility deployment. This role requires strong business acumen, the abilities to define and implement groundbreaking ideas, to work within a fast-moving environment to rapidly deliver support and services that have a broad business impact, and desire to have an industry wide impact.

As Project Manager, Engineering and Construction, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Assisting with development and monitoring of an engineering and construction build plan
- Partnering with local engineers and coordinate the review of mechanized engineering designs for potential redesign opportunities and needs
- Coordinating design changes in network planning systems
- Providing process support to the network team and infrastructure services contractors supporting front line execution of an extensive fiber deployment
- Partnering with other functional leaders in driving cross functional process changes to optimize fiber build efficiency
- Driving the company culture and strategies. Creating strategies to achieve business goals such as increasing revenues, optimizing expenses, and developing a skilled, motivated, satisfied, and diverse workforce
- Leading by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices, and building strong cross-functional relationships
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical work experience
- Prior industry experience in facility engineering and network deployments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with cross functional teams
- Process improvement and customer-centric mindset
- Ability to motivate others and work under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to articulate via written and through oral communication

- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications
- Telecom/Cable/Internet Service Provider industry experience
