Dog Care Assistant

Love in the Lead Canine Training, LLC is a Charlotte, NC based dog training company that specializes in puppy training, advanced off-leash obedience, behavior modification, and service dog training.

We are in need of a part-time dog care assistant! You will work along side our trainers and other dog care staff to help care for the program dogs. Previous dog handling experience is REQUIRED . On the job training will be provided, but ideally candidates are familiar with dog behavior and handling. Candidates should be self-motivated, responsible, professional, and motivated to learn. Attention to detail is a must! Candidates should have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Requirements:

Must be physically capable, comfortable, and confident handling dogs of all sizes

Must be comfortable working outdoors in various types of weather (exercising, grooming, and relieving dogs outdoors)

Must be able to follow directions and be detail oriented

Responsibilities include:

General care of 20-30 training and boarding dogs (feeding, watering, relieving).

Exercising individual and small groups of dogs in enclosed play yards

Provide structured enrichment exercises

Grooming and bathing dogs

Assisting in the cleaning of the training facility

Schedule:

Shift needs will vary week to week. Approx. 16-30 hours per week.

Weekdays: 8am-12pm

Saturdays and Sundays: 8am-5pm
