Position Overview

Sókn Engineering is a data driven organization looking to streamline workflows and scale our data processes. We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer / Python Developer to help automate tasks, manage cloud workflows, and support data initiatives. This position will work within Sokn’s Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science (AMD) Division.

Responsibilities

· Write clean, efficient Python code for data processing and workflow automation.

· Develop, test, and maintain production-ready scripts and data pipelines.

· Deploy and monitor machine learning models in production environments.

· Work with cloud platforms, preferably Databricks, to manage and optimize data workflows.

· Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure reliable data operations.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

· Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

· Strong proficiency in Python, including data manipulation and scripting.

· Experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks (preferred), AWS, or Azure.

· In-depth understanding of Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, PySpark.

· Familiarity with automating workflows and scheduling tasks.

· Basic understanding of data science or machine learning concepts is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have

· Knowledge of SQL and data engineering pipelines.

· Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
