Senior Risk Manager - Financial Crime

Join us as a Senior Risk Manager – Financial Crime, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting USCB’s Financial Crime and Fraud landscape during a period of increasing regulatory expectations, evolving fraud threats, and expanding program activity. This key position provides critical support to Financial Crime and Fraud Accountable Executives, helping ensure our frameworks remain resilient and responsive to change. You will deliver an end-to-end view of Financial Crime and Fraud risks across USCB, partnering closely with business teams and service providers to identify where new or enhanced safeguards are needed to maintain a robust oversight environment. Your work will also involve collaborating with stakeholders across the first and second lines of defence—particularly Compliance and Operational Risk—to enable early detection of emerging issues and to help shape practical, effective solutions that safeguard our customers and our organization.

To be successful in your role as Senior Risk Manager - Financial Crime, you should have:

• Previous experience of Economic Crime – working in Financial Crime and/or Fraud roles

• Problem solving skills, using data driven and evaluative approaches

• Robust relationship oversight, including engagement up to Managing Director level

Minimum Salary: $135,000.00

Maximum Salary: $200,000.00

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.

Accountabilities

• Knowledge of business areas, products, processes and platforms to be able to assess risk
• Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
• Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.
• Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.
• Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.
