TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27157!
Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: - 3+ years of Level 1 trauma center experience for first-time travelers. Description: RN needed for a fast-paced emergency department. The facility has 885 licensed beds and is a Level 1 trauma center. The unit is currently under renovation, with two fixed wing helicopter pads post-renovation. The department receives many air flights and sees an average of 200-220 patients per day. Patient types commonly seen include trauma, stroke, STEMI, and burn cases. The unit handles a variety of diagnoses such as GSWs, stabbings, multi-trauma, MVCs, MIs, CVAs, and overdoses. Patient ratios are 3:1, 4:1, 5:1, and 6:1 based on clinical area worked or acuity. LPN ratios are based similarly. A range of support staff is available, including ED Techs and charge nurses. Technology includes an electronic medical record system and various monitoring equipment. Travelers may float to the ED Transition Care Unit as needed. The scheduling includes every other weekend rotation. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Scrub color is royal blue.
