A day in the life
When your shift begins at 9:45 pm in Mooresville, NC, you’ll take ownership of a bank of CNC machines, confirming programs and setups are dialed in, tooling is ready, and quality checks are in place. As production runs, you’ll monitor performance, make proactive adjustments, and tackle complex troubleshooting and programming challenges to keep output precise and consistent. You’ll mentor junior operators on best practices, champion 5S habits, and drive continuous improvements that elevate quality, throughput, and safety.
Role impact- Operate and set up assigned CNC/mechanical equipment for reliable, repeatable results
- Lead advanced troubleshooting, adjustments, and light programming to resolve complex issues
- Read/interpret blueprints and engineering specifications to meet tight tolerances
- Perform in-process and final quality checks using required gaging instruments
- Complete production and quality documentation with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation aligned to 5S standards
- Model adherence to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
- Support continuous process improvements and mentor junior team members
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Shift: 3, 9:45 pm - 6:00 am
- Pay Range: $21 - $24 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly)
What you bring- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar CNC role
- Comfort working under minimal supervision while solving complex problems
- Strong working knowledge of CNC operations, setup, and process control
- Ability to interpret work instructions and follow written and verbal directions
- Intermediate communication and mathematical skills
- Proficiency with required gaging instruments, including both their use and application
- Confidence reading blueprints and engineering specifications
- Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; push/pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Stand for extended periods with frequent bending and stooping
- Dexterity to handle small components and tooling
- Comfort working in noisy environments
