Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation (Night Shift, Travel Assignment)
Location: Greensboro, NC (and other Cone campuses as needed)
Shift: Nights – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every 3rd weekend, holidays as needed
Contract Length: 13 weeks (77 contract hours)
Guaranteed Hours: Yes

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in an Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation setting. The RN will manage patients with conditions such as CVA (stroke), TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, post-operative surgical recovery, and neurological diagnoses. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, patient/family education, and coordination with an interdisciplinary rehab team to support optimal recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute rehab unit (patient ratio 1:6).
• Perform assessments, medication reconciliation, wound care, and vital monitoring.
• Manage patients with feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators (as applicable), and assistive devices.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Float between Cone Health campuses as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum Experience: 1 year of recent Acute Inpatient Rehab RN experience
• Travel Experience: Required (No first-time travelers)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA required)
• Charting System: EPIC (Required)
• Education: Verified through a 3rd party (no diploma-fraud schools accepted)
• License: Active RN license in NC (or compact state) – must be in hand at submission
• Testing: Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

Compliance Details:

• Full compliance file due by 12:00 PM EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• RTO must be declared at submission; no changes accepted afterward.
