Grinder Operator— 1st Shift

Pay: $12.50–$14.50/hr (based on experience)

Shift: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift

Location: Salisbury, NC

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detailoriented Grinder Operator to support our production team by ensuring clean, uncontaminated material flows into the hoppers. This role is essential to maintaining product quality, preventing contamination, and keeping production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain assigned grinding machinery safely and efficiently

• Ensure hoppers remain filled with correct materials

• Perform magnet checks each shift and document debris levels

• Cut bale straps using required PPE (full face shield + gloves)

• Remove all wire strapping and dispose of it properly

• Inspect scrap materials for foreign debris (wood, plastic, metal, glass, etc.)

• Identify and report nonconforming product or process issues

• Stop or control processes producing defects until corrected

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Follow all company safety and environmental policies

• Support ISO 9001 and continuous improvement standards

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills

• Strong communication skills

• Detailoriented and well organized

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to make decisions and switch tasks frequently

• Selfmotivated and able to work well with others

• Ability to perform heavy lifting

• Commitment to safety compliance and quality standards
