The Sample Department Coordinator oversees sample management and organization, as well as responsible for the management, preparation and tracking of all samples.
This position will be short term 3-6 months with a possible extension.
Main responsibilities and Key Result Areas:
1. Oversees the prioritization, preparation, handling ( with some heavy lifting involved) and tracking of all samples, which includes
cutting, surging, folding and documenting swatches.
2. Coordinates incoming and outgoing samples through AS400 and SAP system.
3. Serves as a liaison between manufacturing, shipping, customer service, sales and design for all
sampling and scheduling needs.
4. Partners with Product Manager to keep sample workflow and stock efficient and accessible.
5. Works with sales and design to package and ensure accurate, on time delivery of samples,
including rolls, to customers.
6. Prepares, distributes, photographs and maintains new reference cards for sold patterns.
7. Assists colleagues in finding missing or undocumented samples.
8. Tracks and documents waste output from the sample department.
9. Keeps the sample room in good working order and well stocked with necessary supplies.
