Senior Accounting Professional
Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
A rapidly growing, innovation-driven organization is seeking a Senior Accounting professional to help modernize and elevate its core accounting operations. This position partners closely with Accounting leadership and plays a key role in strengthening processes, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Transformation
Partner with finance and operational leaders to evaluate, design, and implement process enhancements within the accounting function
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives by providing accounting input on new programs, systems, and operational changes
Develop tools, reporting frameworks, and data-driven solutions to improve close cycles, reporting efficiency, and overall execution
Technical Accounting & Research
Support analysis of complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, leases, acquisitions, and other technical areas
Perform research on applicable accounting guidance and prepare clear documentation supporting conclusions and disclosures
Monitor evolving accounting standards and assess potential financial statement impacts
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and both recurring and ad hoc financial reporting
Analyze financial data to provide insights that support operational and strategic decision-making
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate manual tasks, and enhance overall accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret data and draw sound conclusions
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth and/or private equity-backed environments preferred
High attention to detail with a data-driven mindset
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems and large data sets is a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
