Heart and Vascular Technologist - Cath Lab Tech

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with call every third week.

Job Description

The Heart and Vascular Technologist will work in the Cath Lab, performing responsibilities related to interventional radiology, vascular, cardiac catheterization, or electrophysiology. The role requires close collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and effective use of advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various procedures within the Cath Lab, including interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization.



• Utilize advanced equipment and technology for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.



• Ensure proper patient care and safety during procedures.



• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare staff.



• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology.



• Current ARRT or RCIS registration.



• BCLS certification; if not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment.



• ACLS certification required within one year of employment.



• Minimum of 1 year of experience and proficiency in one of the following modalities: Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Cardiac Cath, or Electrophysiology.
