Position Title: Staff Accountant
Reports to: Corporate Controller
Summary of Purpose:
Tailwind Hospitality Inc. provides delicious food, signature beverages, and interesting gift shop concessions at busy airports. The Staff Accountant performs various accounting, bookkeeping, and financial duties, including recording financial transactions, reviewing financial statements, and evaluating accounting processes for improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
- Leads the month-end closing process.
- Enter invoices for multiple corporate locations throughout the US with varying rules.
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations.
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Controller as necessary.
Essential Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills especially with Excel.
- Strong analytic abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in accounting, bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
- 1-2 year' experience with general staff accounting.
Physical Requirements:
- Work at a desk and use a computer approximately 6-8 hours per day.
- Perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
- Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
