Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative
Location: Charlotte, Hybrid, requiring 2 to 3 days in the office
Job Type: Full-time
Providence Anesthesiology Associates is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative to join our team. The AR Representative will be responsible for timely and accurate insurance follow-up and claims denial management in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have over one year of experience in healthcare/medical accounts receivable and strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily AR tasks, including aging reports, denial management, and credit balance resolution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for multiple clients.
- Identify and correct billing errors, resubmit claims, and initiate appeals with commercial and government payers as needed.
- Analyze and resolve reimbursement discrepancies, reporting issues, trends, and discrepancies to the AR Supervisor while assisting with solutions.
- Research payer requirements, communicate with insurance carriers, and implement procedures to optimize collections in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and support additional duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred
- Over one year of experience in healthcare/medical accounts receivable is required; medical billing is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with medical billing software
