Overview
Skyworks Greensboro Design Center is seeking a motivated student for Module Design Co-op. You will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end module, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only you will you get to know how things work in industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, gain valuable experience as well as explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. When you join our team in Greensboro, you’ll you will be part of a multi-discipline team developing PA, RF switches, LNA, front-end modules for the high volume and fast paced cellular handset market.
Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
• Work with experienced engineers to design/develop multi-chip modules
• Evaluate and optimize prototypes of multi-chip modules
• Run simulations use design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.
• Participate and present in design reviews
• Perform lab testing using standard RF test equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve design or technical issues
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians
Required Experience and Skills
• Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD program
• Commitment to work onsite for 6 months (June/July - December 2026)
• Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
• Strong career interest in RF/microwave circuits and engineering
• Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
• Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
• Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience in lab using network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of transmission-line theory and circuit design is a plus
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
